Sentai Filmworks announced on Thursday that it will release the 2002 Azumanga Daioh anime as a "complete collection" Blu-ray Disc set on December 9. The release will feature an English dub and Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Yukari Tanizaki isn't the most experienced teacher, but that's certain to change with her new class of students. Between tomboyish Tomo, tall but secretly gentle Sakaki, clumsy and unfocused Osaka, and mature and frequently frustrated Yomi, Yukari would already have her hands full… but then there's child genius Chiyo, who at 10 is five years younger than her classmates! Toss in Miss Sakaki's ongoing difficulties with cute animals who don't like her, star-eyed Kaorin, who's smitten with Miss Sakaki, the creepy Mr. Kimura, and so many more, and it's going to be a never ending adventure in education in the complete collection of Azumanga Daioh!
ADV Films previously released the anime on DVD in 2004. Sentai Filmworks then released the anime as part of its Sentai Selects line on DVD in 2016. The release had both English-subtitled and English-dubbed formats. This new release marks the first Blu-ray Disc of the anime in North America.
ADV Manga published Kiyohiko Azuma's original four-panel manga in North America in 2003-2004. Yen Presshas since re-released the manga series.
Sentai Filmworks also plans to release the following anime in December: Gushing Over Magical Girls season 1 Steelbook, Trinity Seven complete collection, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? season 4 premium box set, The Ambition of Oda Nobuna complete collection, and Flower and Asura complete collection.
