Anime Expo Hosts BAND-MAID Guitarist Miku Kobato, Comedian Yuriyan Retriever

 

The official X/Twitter account for Anime Expo announced over the last few days that this year's event will host BAND-MAID guitarist Miku Kobato and comedian Yuriyan Retriever.

BAND-MAID is a five-piece, all-female, Japanese rock band with members' costumes modeled after maids. Kobato plays the guitar and provides vocals in the band's music. The group has performed theme songs for Tougen Anki, Rock is a Lady's Modesty, Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table, Platinum End, Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, and more.

Yuriyan Retriever won the 2021 KTV R-1 Grand Prix, rising to fame as a top Japanese comedian. She has performed on America's Got Talent, starred in The Queen of Villains live-action show, and has worked with numerous global brands.

The convention previously announced other guests and premieres over the past few months.

Anime Expo takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 3-6.
