The staff of this year's Los Angeles Comic Con event announced on Friday that it will host voice actors Yuriko Yamaguchi and Takeshi Kusao. The convention will also host Ryota Ozawa (Gokai Red in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger), Yui Koike (Gokai Pink), and Kazuki Shimizu (Gokai Green). According to the staff, this is the first time the event has hosted Japanese voice actors.
Yamaguchi has voiced roles in such anime as Neon Genesis Evangelion (Ritsuko Akagi), One Piece (Nico Robin), Fullmetal Alchemist (Sarah Rockbell), Pokémon (Nurse Joy), and Dragon Ball Super (Vados).
Kusao voices Trunks in Dragon Ball Z, Hanamichi Sakuragi in Slam Dunk, Sanada Yukimura in Samurai Warriors, Parn in Record of Lodoss War, Jaguar D. Saul and Kohza in One Piece, Dororo in Sgt. Frog, Coco in Yes! Precure 5, and the new voice of Tōru Amuro in Detective Conan.
The Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger series premiered in February 2011.
This year's event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on September 26-28.
