CAPCOM unveiled a new trailer during this year's gamescom Opening Night Live event on Tuesday for Mega Man: Dual Override, a new game in its Mega Man series, and it introduces the new character Twinkle Girl as well as returning character Protoman. The video also previews gameplay and reveals a new skin themed after Mega Man and Roll for Hugh and Diana in CAPCOM's Pragmata game.
The Robot Master Twinkle Girl is DWN-089 (Dr. Wily Number).
The Pragmata skin is scheduled for release in 2026.
The game will debut in 2027 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) union issuedan order in March to its members to withhold services from Mega Man: Dual Override after the producer "failed to initiate the signatory process."
Voice actor Ben Diskin announced on Bluesky that he would no longer voice the character of Mega Man. He said he was asked to reprise the character for the new game "only on the condition I work without the protections of a union contract."
CAPCOM recently released Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, a collection of seven Mega Man Star Force (Ryūsei no Rockman, or Rockman of the Shooting Star) games, for Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on March 27.
