The staff for the second anime season of Maedakun's Puniru is a Kawaii Slime (Puniru wa Kawaii Slime) web manga series announced four more cast members who appear in the anime's 10th episode (22nd episode overall), on Sunday:
The anime's second season premiered on July 6 on TV Tokyo and its affiliates at 5:30 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll streams the anime as it airs.
Previously announced new cast for the second season is Sumire Uesaka as Gelee.
The anime's first season premiered in October 2024 at 11:45 p.m. on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired.
The romantic comedy manga tells the story of Kotarō, who created a slime and named it Puniru. Seven years pass, and Puniru transforms into a beautiful young lady.

Yūshi Ibe (Tearmoon Empire) returns to direct the second season at TOHO animation STUDIO. Michiko Yokote(Shirobako, Prison School, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin) is again overseeing the series scripts, and Aya Tanaka (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II sub-character designer, chief animation director) is again designing the characters. Izumi Mori also returns to compose the music. Puniru, as voiced by Yū Sasaharaperforms the second season's opening song "Brun-Brun," and a cover of Mrs. Green Apple's song "Ao to Natsu" (Blue and Summer) as the ending theme song.
Maedakun launched the manga in Shogakukan's "Shūkan Coro Coro Comics" ("Weekly Coro Coro Comics") online publication in March 2022. The manga ranked #4 in the Web Manga category of the "Next Manga Awards" (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) in 2022. Shogakukan published the manga's ninth compiled book volume on August 28.
