Shufu to Seikatsu Sha annonuced on Wednesday that Marukawa's Apprentice Nail Artist in a Foreign Land (Ikyō no Tsumenuri Minarai) manga is inspiring an anime. The announcement did not reveal the anime's format.
Tokyopop licensed the manga, and will release the first volume in English on April 7, 2026. Tokyopop describes the story:
A shoujo fantasy that brings readers into the magical world of nail art.
Keiko Sahara, an office worker whose hobby is designing cute gel nails, is sent to a world where people's magic abilities come from their nail art. After a magic nail artist notices her ability, she becomes his apprentice!
Marukawa launched the manga in Shufu to Seikatsu Sha's Comic PASH! magazine in 2022. Shufu to Seikatsu Sha published the manga's fifth compiled book volume on January 10, and will release the manga's sixth volume on Friday.
