The staff of Kadokawa's Kadocomi website announced on Monday that Yodokawa will launch a new manga on the website titled Neko ni Hakuchō, Hotaru ni Koban (Cats and Swans, Fireflies and Gold Coins) on Friday. Yodokawa teased that the new series may be a yuri story.

Yodokawa ended the Monthly in the Garden with My Landlord (Maitsuki Niwatsuki Ōyatsuki) manga in August 2024. The manga launched on Kadokawa's Comic Newtype web manga site in June 2021. Kadokawa published the manga's fifth and final compiled book volume in October 2024. Yen Press licensed the manga and will publish the fifth volume in English on September 23.
