'Formerly, the Fallen Daughter of the Duke' Manga Goes on Hiatus

Manga creator Ushio Shirotori announced on her X/Twitter account last Saturday that her manga adaptation of Saki Ichibu's Formerly, the Fallen Daughter of the Duke light novels will go on hiatus due to recovery after the birth of her second child. Shirotori expects that she will have recovered by winter.

Tokyopop publishes the manga in English, and it describes the story:

Claire Martino once had everything: a loving family, a crown prince fiancé, and a hopeful future using her family's inherited magic. Then, in an instant, she lost it all — and the culprit was her own beloved half-sister. As the daughter of the now-disgraced duke and scorned as a villainess, Claire leaves everything she knows and sets out on a journey to find her true self.

But wait, isn't that the plot of the otome game NEW START ♡ ETERNAL LOVE on its hardest route...?

Shirotori launched the manga in Mag Garden's Mag Comi website in September 2020. Mag Garden published the manga's seventh compiled book volume on April 15. Tokyopop published the sixth volume on June 10.

Saki Ichibu began serializing the original story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in March 2020, and ended it in May 2020. Mag Garden published the first print volume with illustrations by Nemusuke in December 2020, and the fifth volume shipped in June 2024. J-Novel Club is releasing the novels in English, and it released the fifth volume on June 27.
