The entertainment company Pony Canyon announced on Tuesday that it is entering a formalized business partnership with the animation studio TriF Studio.

With the business partnership, Pony Canyon intends to further its relationship with TriF Studio, and invest in the future and creative potential of TriF Studio by strengthening the studio's production line. TriF Studio intends to utilize the project planning and producing strengths of Pony Canyon to create the conditions necessary to produce animation continuously without breaks.

TriF Studio was founded in 2012 by creatives and students from their independent video production circle also named TriF. The studio has animated both the pilot anime video and the full-fledged anime of Sae Okamoto's Mecha-Ude project, and collaborated with Pony Canyon in the latter project. (Pony Canyon served as producer for the project.) The studio has also produced the music video for Masayoshi Ōishi's "Kamiari Algorithm" song, and the Kyoshin to Hyōka no Shiro short anime, the latter of which Okamoto also directed.
