YouTuber Calm Down Man, formerly known as the webtoon artist Lee Mal-nyeon, has declared his complete retirement from comics, stating he has no plans to return to the medium.

Appearing on MBC's talk show Radio Star on August 20, Calm Down Man responded to a question about resuming his webtoon career by saying, "I've stopped drawing comics, and I have no plans to go back. It's retirement."

He explained that while his skills required constant practice and refinement, he lost interest in drawing after becoming deeply involved in live-streaming. "I should have been training as an artist, but I got hooked on streaming instead. I've firmly quit," he said.

Calm Down Man closed with a self-deprecating remark: "I'm not even a member of the cartoonists' association, so technically I'm not a formal artist. Please don't expect too much," which drew laughter from the audience.

Lee Mal-nyeon debuted as a webtoon artist in 2009 with Lee Mal-Nyeon Series. Following that, he created the long-running satire-action series Lee Mal‑nyeon's Journey to the West, which was serialized for 125 chapters from 2013 to 2016. Both garnered millions of views on Naver Webtoon.
